Born in Barcelos, Daniel Alonso carries the legacy of generations of potters in his blood. Grandson of Júlio Alonso and son of artisans, he grew up surrounded by clay, absorbing from an early age the knowledge passed down by his grandfather and father.

His hands learned the language of clay even before words, and it was in this environment that his passion for pottery was born.

Since 2021, Daniel has been shaping his own artistic identity. Inspired by tradition but with an innovative vision, he works with clay using the mastery he inherited, adding his own unique touch. His ceramics stand out for their wood-fired kiln firing, inspired by the soenga technique - an ancient method that evolved into the construction of a wood-fueled kiln.

The result? Unique pieces, marked by black and silver tones, are a result of the reduction process that gives them a distinctive and high-quality finish. Daniel is a storyteller through clay, a guardian of tradition who shapes the future with hands firmly rooted in the past.
